Addressing the International Advertising Association India Chapter’s Silver Jubilee Summit at Kochi on Thursday, Faris Abouhamad, IAA Chairman & Global President lauded the Indian economy and said it holds great promise in the next 3-4 years. “In three to four years, India could be among the top three advertising spenders in the world,” Abouhamad said, noting that global giants have suddenly started showing up in India and discovering India. 

“The Indian economy is leading the way,” he asserted, adding that India is also a great exporter of talent to the industry in all parts of the world.

Earlier, welcoming the audience, Srinivasan K Swamy, President, IAA India Chapter and VP - Development, IAA Asia Pacific, said, “We have walked a long way in the last 25 years, starting with 20 members when the organization was formally created, to what we are today.”

Talking about the theme of the summit, #What’s Coming Next, he said, “Our competitiveness will only improve if we keep thinking about what’s coming next. “ During his address, he thanked Ad Club Kochi and MV Shreyams Kumar, Director-Marketing of Mathrubhumi, for their support in organizing IAA’s Silver Jubilee Summit at Kochi.
