‘Emvies are a reflection of our industry's relentless pursuit of innovation’

Few awards in our industry command the level of respect and anticipation that the Emvies do. Completing 25 glorious years in 2025, the Emvies have not only recognised media effectiveness but have also celebrated the very essence of storytelling, strategy, and measurable impact.

As the President of The Advertising Club and Group CEO of Havas India, SEA, and North Asia, I feel privileged to witness this milestone during my tenure.

Having spent 30 years in advertising and marketing, I have had the honour of experiencing 25 editions of the Emvies, and in the last four years, I have seen them even more closely as Vice President and now President of The Advertising Club. Each edition has been a testament to how media effectiveness has evolved, adapted, and redefined itself. From the early days of TRP-led media planning to today’s AI-driven personalization and omnichannel experiences, the Emvies have remained the gold standard, recognising campaigns that don’t just reach audiences but move them, change perceptions, and deliver tangible results.

In a world where advertising is becoming increasingly complex - with fragmented consumer journeys, shifting behaviours, and the rise of new-age platforms—it is storytelling backed by effectiveness that differentiates the extraordinary from the ordinary. The Emvies are more than just awards; they are a reflection of our industry's relentless pursuit of innovation, pushing us to think smarter, create bolder, and execute sharper.

This 25-year milestone is a celebration of our collective passion, an acknowledgment that great ideas need great execution. It is also a reminder that while media channels may evolve, the power of an insight-driven, well-crafted, and effective campaign will always remain timeless.
