Cannes Lions 2013: Disappointment for India in Radio Lions

Cannes Lions 2013 has announced the shortlisted entries for the Radio Lions category. No Indian entry features amongst the 166 shortlisted entries for Radio Lions this year.

Ralph van Dijk, Founding Creative Director, Eardrum is the Jury President and Akshay Kapnadak, Executive Creative Director, McCann Mumbai is the Jury Member from India in the category this year.

The number of entries submitted by Indian agencies in the Radio Lions category has dropped from 55 entries last year to 23 entries this year. This year, the category received 1,552 entries from 58 countries, a decrease of 13 per cent as compared to last year.

Launched in 2005, the Radio Lions competition honours the best international creative radio advertising. The Radio Lions trophies will be presented during the Cyber, Design, Press, and Radio Lions Awards Ceremony, which will take place on Wednesday, June 19.
