The Advertising Club Bangalore has received 950 entries from 60 advertising and media agencies and advertisers across the country for its annual award for excellence in communication and media – Big Bang Awards 2014.
Commenting on the industry response to the Awards, Arvind Kumar, Executive Director, Advertising Club Bangalore said, “Overall we find it very encouraging. The response this time is much better than last year, as we have received 100 entries more. Generally we find that the sunrise categories are Healthcare, PR and Digital, and 25 per cent of the overall entries are from the Healthcare category. We have noticed that this time more entries have come in from small agencies and new wave digital shops. This platform will definitely encourage them and they will feel more confident and upbeat. The Big Bang Awards have spread out well and have always been a great morale booster for the small and medium agencies.”
The awards ceremony, which will be held on September 19, 2014 at Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Bangalore, will be preceded by a panel discussion.
Big Bang Awards, which has been growing in popularity, has tied up with Global Best Awards of USA and has gone online since last year. This has helped the communication industry to participate from any corner of the country.
