Magna Publications launches Mandate

Magna Publications launched its new magazine, Mandate, on March 30, 2012. It is the seventh magazine from Magna’s basket. The magazine is targeted at men in the age group of 25 to 45.

“This magazine is for the global Indian male who wants to lead a contemporary lifestyle,” shared Shivendra Parihar, Marketing Head, Magna Publications.

Mandate will carry detailed profiles of famous male personalities, news on new gadgets, information on exotic holiday destinations, automobiles and, of course, women. The print run of the English monthly magazine is 1, 00,000 copies. It has a cover price of Rs 100.

Commenting on the expectation from Indian market, Parihar said, “With global exposure, Indian men want to live a contemporary lifestyle and this is where a magazine such as Mandate will play a crucial role in helping the reader improve the quality of his life.”

Elaborating on the marketing and promotional strategy, he added, “Our strategy is to successfully position Mandate as a friend to the metro sexual young Indian male. The multimedia promotion plan includes the usage of press, outdoors, radio, web, social media, and a television campaign. Also, on-ground activations such as signature events and promotions in malls, multiplexes, etc. are being used.”

Advertisers from across product categories such as watches, cars, apparel, gizmos, travel are taking an interest in the publication. The magazine will have 60:40 edit-ad ratio.

The magazine will be available in newsstands and through subscription sales. It will also be available in airports, 5-star hotels, and A-grade book stores.
