Trading portal Lastminuteinventory.com appoints Aditya Ray as CEO

Aditya Ray has been appointed as CEO and Chief Evangelist of Lastminuteinventory.com, the world’s first online real-time media exchange for trading of remnant inventory. Ray moves from Bennett Coleman and Company Ltd, where he worked in sales as well as the Private Treaties team.

Sandeep Goyal, Chairman of Last Minute Media, the company that owns Lastminuteinventory.com, said, “Aditya brings with him a well-rounded set of experiences in the media business. He has a very deep understanding of media analytics and I am sure he will bring great value to Lastminuteinventory.com.”

Ray said, “I am delighted to be able to lead an innovative and pioneering project such as Lastminuteinventory.com. It has immense potential and I am privileged to be tasked with the responsibility of creating a platform that is a world first.”

Ray, an IIM Ahmedabad alumnus, has worked over the years at Zee Telefilms, where he was Marketing Head for the flagship Zee TV brand. He also had an interesting stint at Maharaja Group in Colombo, handling their portfolio of television channels.

Lastminuteinventory.com provides a new buying channel for media owners to reach and engage geographically dispersed media buyers, both big and small. Thus, a win-win transaction in the purchase of available last-minute media inventory is facilitated. The portal is currently in the beta testing stage.

“The portal will go beta live from next week. We have subjected the site to numerous transactions and have followed a very strong test protocol. The TV cycle is ready to roll. The print will go live towards the end of March. Radio and other media will follow next month,” Ray said.
