Sushma Jhaveri, who had recently put in her papers as Senior VP at Carat, has been appointed as COO of Madison Media Infinity. She will be based in Mumbai and will lead a set of accounts in the Mumbai office.
Commenting on Jhaveri’s appointment, Punitha Arumugam, Group CEO, Madison Media, said, “I have interacted with Sushma at various industry forums in the past and found her perspective and inputs refreshing and concise. With Sushma becoming a Madisonite, I am delighted that we will now have her experience and inputs available for our portfolio of clients.”
On joining Madison, Jhaveri said, “I am happy to be given an opportunity to be a part of the Madison family. Madison has an interesting set of clients, which is the exciting part of work. I am hoping for a great new innings.”
She has over 18 years of experience in media planning and research, having worked in companies like Carat, Mindshare Fulcrum, TME, Synovate. Her last stint was with Carat as Senior Vice President. Across her career, Jhaveri has worked with clients like Unilever’s oral care and deodorant brands, Colgate, Britannia, Godrej Appliances, Heinz, Castrol, Viacom18, ICICI Bank, STAR Network, Shoppers Stop, and HDFC, among others. In her research role, she has been involved with media research, micro market planning softwares, various ad tracking studies and formulating customised research for various brands.
Madison Media was in the news earlier this year for winning the coveted media planning and buying AOR biz of ITC, which is currently being handled through its unit CREST.
The other clients in Madison’s portfolio include Airtel, Godrej, Cadbury, General Motors, Marico, McDonald’s TVS, Britannia, Asian Paints, Tata Tea, Shriram Transport Finance, Levis, SpiceJet, Axis Bank, Domino’s, Bharti Axa, Max New York Life Insurance, Tata Salt, Acer, Dish TV, Imagine TV, Times Television Network, IndianOil and many others. The gross billing of Madison Media stands at Rs 3,000 crore, according to a company release.
