IRS 2010 Q4: Top players grow; Telugu dailies still decline

IRS 2010 Q4:  Top players grow; Telugu dailies still decline

With the continuous decline in the readership, the Any Telugu language publications genre has seen mixed results throughout the year. The Telugu magazines have also been able to put decent show as compared to other language magazines throughout the year 2010.

Eenadu with AIR of 60.41 Lac in the Q4 results of IRS has seen decline in the readership as compared to Q3 results of IRS. The second most read Telugu language daily, Sakshi, has been able to maintain sustainable growth in the all Quarter results of IRS 2010. Sakshi registered AIR of 49.54 Lac in IRS Q4 2010.
The de-growth for Andhra Jyothi was seen all through the IRS 2010 results. In Q4 results of IRS the daily witnessed AIR of 21.23 Lac.

The fourth most daily of the Telugu language genre Vartha had declined rapidly in the year 2010. The daily had witnessed AIR of 4.56 Lac in the Q4 results of IRS. Andhra Bhoomi with AIR 2.90 Lac has witnessed ups and downs in the AIR numbers in last three Quarters of IRS 2010.

In Telugu magazine domain, Swati Sapari Vara Patrika has maintained its leadership with AIR of 5 Lac. It is to be noted that in Q2 and Q3 round, the magazine had witnessed hike in the readership.

Annadata with growth in Q2, has declined in Q3 and Q4 round results of IRS. In IRS Q4 2010 the magazine has seen AIR of 1.30 Lac. India Today Telugu has also seen mixed results throughout the year. While in Q2 and Q3 results of IRS, the magazine has seen growth in readership. With AIR of 1.09 Lac, the magazine has seen decline in Q4 results as compared to previous results of IRS 2010.
