Prasar Bharati to call for fresh bid

Four months after announcing a bid for DD Metro, Prasar Bharati has decided to call for a fresh bid for the same slot. The bid was invited after TV Today vacated the 10 pm slot on DD Metro when it launched its own channel Aaj Tak. The other slots for which bids were invited are 10.30 to 11 pm, 11 to 11.30 pm, 11.30 to 12 midnight, and 12 to 12.30 am. The floor price set for the various slots were Rs 15 crore, Rs 7.5 crore, Rs 2 crore, Rs 1.5 crore and Rs 50 lakh respectively.
