Uday Sodhi moves to as CEO

Former CEO of Balaji Telefilms’ New Media Business, Uday Sodhi, has joined as CEO. Head Honchos is a paid job search service, which hopes that by removing free listings they will encourage more high level jobs to be posted for their members, and so the jobs portal is the first to cater only to listings for senior management posts.

Sodhi has worked in various sectors over the last 20 years. At Balaji Telefilms, he was responsible for building a value chain for the company’s mobile and Internet business, and creating the VAS ecosystem within which their offerings were available. Prior to that, he was Senior VP of Interactive Services at, and before that he had worked with Net4India and Bausch and Lomb India.

Head Honchos aims to provide authentic listings of senior level jobs across industries, and using a paid model to create greater levels of trust and confidence to employers and prevent spam. The company wants to provide a robust online model to address the special requirements of job search at a senior level, which is very different from the active job seeking done at lower levels in a company hierarchy.

Speaking on his new assignment, Sodhi said, “ is going to be an interesting and challenging Internet project with a vision of bringing a shift in senior management recruitment in India. I am looking forward to significant learning and to leading a talented team of professionals.”

A post graduate in Marketing from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Sodhi has been instrumental in managing the sales, marketing and business development departments of the aforementioned companies before moving into strategic general management roles.
