One of this week’s biggest news was the appointment of Sameer Singh as CEO of Group M’s South Asia ops. Based in Gurugram, starting in July, Singh will report to CVL Srinivas, Country Manager, WPP India and Mark Patterson, CEO GroupM Asia Pacific. He joins GroupM from Google India, where he was Director- Sales, responsible for the agency business. He was earlier based at Google’s headquarters in Mountain View, California where he worked on measurement, brand consulting, insights and product solutions.
Rajiv Verma, Chief Executive Officer of HT Media has decided to step down from his position. He will continue in his current role till his successor joins, the Board of Directors announced. Post the new CEO joining, Verma would continue to remain associated with the Company in an advisory role.
From Bisleri, Dream 11, Mother Dairy to Eureka Forbes, and and Tata Sky, Wavemaker has won and retained a barrage of accounts this year. E4m interviewed Tim Castree, the Global CEO of Wavemaker, GroupM’s media, content and technology agency, while he was in India to meet his team.
Publicis India and MakeMyTrip have agreed to mutually part ways. This will also include the end of the agency’s journey with Goibibo. MMT account will now be handled by Hemant Misra's MagicCircle Communications.
Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd (ZEEL) Chief Financial Officer, Bharat Kedia has resigned from the services of the company on April 28. The company informed BSE on April 30.
