Excerpts:
1. How do you feel being part of this renowned list of 40 under 40 leaders?
Honestly, it’s both a proud and humbling moment. When you’re in the thick of things - building narratives, managing reputations, handling the occasional crisis - you rarely pause to look back. This recognition from E4M is one of those rare pauses, and it feels special. I’m grateful for the journey so far - from handling IPO comms to shaping company's voice in a fast-evolving category like online gaming — I am excited for the road ahead.
2. What are the top 3 skills you believe are essential in today’s professional landscape?
Adaptability – Especially in dynamic industries like fintech and gaming, where regulations and perceptions change fast, being able to pivot quickly is crucial.
Empathy – Whether it’s your team, your audience, or a journalist on deadline — being able to understand where people are coming from makes all the difference.
Narrative Thinking – Whether you're communicating to millions or to one stakeholder, crafting a clear, compelling story is a game-changer.
- What emerging trends or technologies do you believe will shape your industry in the next 5–10 years?
AI is definitely changing the way we work and we see it every day in how we track sentiment, flag early reputational risks, or even fine-tune messaging. But I also believe that tech alone isn’t enough, especially if we are operating in a sector that’s constantly under the spotlight. So while tools can help us react faster, what really builds trust is how honestly and consistently we communicate, especially when the noise is high. The future will belong to brands that know how to combine smart technology with a strong human voice.
4. How do you define leadership in the modern workplace?
For me, leadership is about how you show up, especially when things get tough. Over the years, whether it was navigating a crisis situation, launching India’s largest IPO of the time, or building a company's reputation in a dynamic & evolving space, I have learned that people don’t expect perfection. They want clarity, calm, and someone who can hold steady when the ground shifts. Leadership is about creating a sense of trust with your team, your stakeholders, and sometimes even with the public. It’s also about giving people room to grow, sharing credit freely, and being okay with saying, “I don’t know this yet, but I will figure it out.”
5. What are your future plans? What’s one lesson you want to pass on to young professionals?
I want to keep telling stories that matter and help build brands that stand for something beyond just scale. For anyone starting out, I would say: don’t chase perfection. Chase growth. Speak up, stay curious, and learn how to thrive in the grey — because that’s where the real impact happens.
