Burson has appointed Munavar Attaari as its Chief Client Officer, strengthening its senior leadership team.

Attaari joins the firm from Edelman, where he served as Senior Vice President/Director. With over two decades of experience in communications and public relations, he brings deep expertise in managing global multinational clients, driving P&L growth, and advising CXOs on complex business and reputation challenges.

In his new role, Attaari will be responsible for leading client engagement, driving growth across mandates, and providing senior counsel on integrated communications strategies spanning multiple markets.

Over the course of his career, he has built a strong track record in developing and executing engagement strategies for both B2B and B2C clients across sectors including IT, healthcare, consumer, hospitality, philanthropy, and heavy industries.

Prior to Edelman, Attaari held leadership roles at FleishmanHillard, where he served as Managing Director for India from 2020 to 2024. In this role, he oversaw the firm’s India P&L across three offices, led new business development, and managed senior client relationships. He also served as a whole-time director at Omnicom India Marketing Advisory Services, handling governance, compliance, and financial reporting responsibilities.

Earlier in his career, Attaari held key positions at Weber Shandwick, Blue Star Infotech, and Adfactors PR, building expertise across strategic communications, crisis management, and corporate reputation.
