In an interaction with exchange4media, Grover expressed her joy about her win and future endeavours.
How do you feel about being a part of the elite list?
Humbled and honoured is how I feel after being part of the elite list. I am fortunate to be a part of the first edition of E4M's 40 under 40 list. I am sure the accolade and recognition is an incentive for the winners to take on more challenges and become the voice of the PR community.
Gratitude, happiness and a zeal to do more and achieve more is the agenda right now.
What were the trends that kept the communication industry buzzing in 2019?
We saw some incredibly innovative concepts and ideas coming to life in 2019 with the rise of micro-Influencers and new-age digital platforms like TikTok, Likee and Helo. The swift disruption changed the dynamics of the entertainment industry drastically. Hence driving communication agendas became more challenging than ever.
Moreover, the opinion-makers that are no longer limited to the journalist community have a great say in the image-making business, the idea is to tap the right set of influencers and collaborate with them to create synergies that are not only organic but also relevant as well from a brand perspective.
How will this recognition by e4m add value to your profile and the communications industry at large?
Like I said we are the first batch of winners hence the responsibility and the yearning to achieve more has gone up a notch. On the personal front, the award adds credibility to my profile and with this industry-wide recognition, it makes me stand ahead of the crowd. For the communication industry, it's a testament and a promise that there are dedicated set of professionals who will be always working hard not only for their recognition but also for the advancement of the entire communication industry as a whole.
What are your future plans?
My agenda for the coming years would be to become more consistent, keep myself more motivated and accountable. Continue with the same rigour, passion and zeal. Embrace digital in a big way and align the PR strategies with the digital habits of the audiences. My major focus would be to make PR an integral part of the business, wherein the real value of communications can be extracted as a strategy rather than a reaction to an activity.
