TV journalist Kumud Ahlawat to start her own media venture

TV journalist Kumud Ahlawat, who has gained experience of working with many major news networks of the country for almost two decades, is now going to start her own independent media venture. Kumud, who has been active in the TV news industry since 2007, has played important roles in prestigious media organizations like 'Zee News', 'Times Now Navbharat', 'AajTak' and recently 'Lallantop'.

What will be the format of Kumud's new media venture, which area of media is included in it, how big is the team, these details have not been made public yet. In a conversation with samachaar4media, Kumud said that she will soon give detailed information about this.

Kumud Ahlawat's longest and most decisive tenure was in 'Zee News', where she worked from a trainee to the production head. During her stint at 'Zee', Kumud handled the production of shows like 'DNA' along with senior TV editor Sudhir Chaudhary. 'DNA' was the most popular prime time show of that time, which played an important role in shaping the political narrative. Apart from this, formats like 'RJ Raunak's Show' and 'Bhai vs Bhai' (debate series of Poonawala brothers) were also created under her direction.

After 'Zee', he worked for about 13 months in 'Times Now Navbharat', where he handled the production of debate shows like 'Sawaal Public Ka', which was hosted by senior journalist Navika Kumar.

After Times Network, Kumud joined Aaj Tak and worked again with Sudhir Chaudhary and took over the entire production responsibility of the prime time show Black and White. Kumud joined Lallantop in 2024, where she not only led the content and production of the show, but also took full responsibility from anchoring to shift lead and input output coordination. This experience in digital media further clarified her vision.

Kumud is now starting her own media venture. Kumud Ahlawat believes that this is a bold decision of her life, where she does not know what will happen tomorrow, but whatever happens will give her a chance to measure her own flight.
