Shaalu Wadhwa to join Zee Network as Assistant VP Marketing

Shaalu Wadhwa, ex-Associate Director-Marketing, Cartoon Network, will be joining Zee Network as Assistant VP Marketing at Zee Café and Zee Studio from April 18. Wadhwa will be reporting to Ajay Trigunayat, business head for Zee's English channels.

Shaalu Wadhwa to join Zee Network as Assistant VP Marketing

Shaalu Wadhwa, who had a stint with Cartoon Network as the Associate Director-Marketing between January 1999 and June 2003, and Dakini Books, New York, as Business Development Manager between January 2004 and March 2005, will takeover as Assistant VP Marketing at Zee Café and Zee Studio from April 18, confirmed reliable sources. Wadhwa will be reporting to Ajay Trigunayat, business head for Zee's English channels.

Wadhwa's role in Dakini included developing and implementing business development, sales and marketing. She was also responsible for expanding the business and identifying strategic alliances and partnerships in the US.

In Turner, she looked after consumer marketing and brand management and was responsible for devising business strategies for increased brand acceptance. Wadhwa was also responsible for management and implementation of trade marketing, including advertising sales sponsorship and promotions. Prior to this, she was associated with Star as marketing executive and was primarily responsible for developing and ensuring consistent brand positioning across all regions.
