Rajesh Kalra has resigned from the position of Executive Chairman of Asianxt Digital Technologies. Sources, however, indicate that he has been persuaded to remain on the company's board, which he joined in 2020, alongside his appointment as Executive Chairman.

Kalra, a seasoned media leader, previously served as the Chief Editor at Times Internet, where he played a pivotal role in launching the group’s major news and entertainment platforms, including TOI, ET, Mumbai Mirror, Bangalore Mirror, Ahmedabad Mirror, Pune Mirror, NBT, MT, Indiatimes, Ei Samay, I am Gujarat, Vijay Karnataka, and the Samayam properties (Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam).

He was also an entrepreneur from 2000-2006 when his company managed the dynamic portions of websites such as Yahoo India, MSN India, and Mantra Online and started India's first 24*7 news website, NaradOnline.

Asianxt Digital Technologies, which recently underwent a rebranding to reflect its digital-first and tech-driven focus, operates a portfolio of multilingual digital brands, including Asianetnews.com and IndigoMusic.com. The company also owns the powerful Asianet News Network, featuring news brands such as Asianet News (Malayalam), Asianet Suvarna News (Kannada) and the Kannada Prabha Daily.

exchange4media reached out to Kalra, but he was unavailable for comment at the time of publishing.
