Network18 has elevated Tejinder Singh Sodhi to the position of Senior Editor in the Network18 Group. This marks Sodhi’s third consecutive promotion, coming just a year after he was officially elevated to Deputy Editor.

Sodhi joined Network18 in 2021 as an Assistant Editor and was later entrusted with the responsibility of being the editorial head of News18 JKLH, the regional channel launched on 15 August 2022 to cater to audiences across Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, and Himachal Pradesh. Under his leadership, the channel has built a strong presence in the region, with impactful reportage and editorial depth.

Throughout his professional journey, Sodhi has worked with some of India’s most respected media organisations, including Hindustan Times, The Tribune, and Press Trust of India. He was also among the founding editors of Republic TV and Republic Bharat, where he played a key role in shaping their editorial direction.

Sodhi’s academic credentials are as diverse as his professional portfolio. He holds an MS in Journalism from the University of Kansas and an MA in Journalism from the University of Kashmir. Notably, he was the only Indian civilian to study at the US Army Command and General Staff College, Fort Leavenworth. Over the years, he has also been a regular speaker at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.

An expert on Indo-Pakistan relations, terrorism, and security, Sodhi is a qualified defence correspondent, having completed the Ministry of Defence’s Defence Correspondents Course in 2007.

His elevation to Senior Editor reflects Network18’s recognition of Sodhi’s consistent contributions to journalism and his ability to lead coverage in some of the most challenging and sensitive beats in the country.
