Kirsten Hasler has decided to move on as the Head of Marketing for home-furnishing brand IKEA in Australia and New Zealand after a long stint of 14 years. She shared the news of her departure from the company through a LinkedIn post.
“After 14 incredible years of building the brand and my career within the big blue box, my time at IKEA is coming to an end”, the LinkedIn post read.
Reflecting on her journey, she said, “Making this decision hasn’t been easy. My journey here has been a bit like walking through an IKEA store; an adventure that’s been longer than expected, full of happy discoveries and when I’ve felt lost, helpful IKEA co-workers have pointed me in the right direction. Along the way I’ve learnt so much about marketing, brand-building, business growth and leadership, but best of all, I’ve made life-long friends all over the world that have impacted my life significantly”, she said.
During her tenure with IKEA, Kirsten was responsible for overseeing the brand’s appointment of Australian creative agency partner Host/Havas in 2023 and the 2024 appointment of New Zealand media agency partner, Mindshare, which launched the brand in the market the following year.
