Chris Nicholas has taken charge as the President & CEO of Walmart International. He announced his new role through a LinkedIn post, expressing gratitude and enthusiasm as he steps into the leadership position. In this role, he will oversee operations in 17 countries, the company had said.
In his post, Nicholas highlighted the strength of Walmart International’s businesses and teams across markets, pointing to a culture of rapid innovation and a clear purpose of helping people save money and live better.
“Today, I’m excited and grateful to begin my role as President & CEO of Walmart International. The future is bright. We have strong businesses led by incredible teams across our markets, a culture of rapid innovation, and a timeless purpose to help people save money and live better. I’m energized by the opportunity ahead and excited to shape the future of global retail together. I can’t wait to get on the road”, he said in his LinkedIn post.
Chris Nicholas, who was previously President and CEO of Sam’s Club U.S., succeeds Kath McLay as President and CEO of Walmart International.
