Warner Bros, Discovery and NBA have reportedly settled their legal dispute regarding broadcast rights.
As per the new terms between them, Warner Bros. Discovery will reportedly continue its coverage of NBA, focusing on digital platforms and global markets. TV broadcasting rights will be conceded to competitors, say a news report in Variety.
Warner filed a lawsuit against NBA after the league excluded the media company from its new broadcasting arrangements, which included Disney’s ESPN, Amazon and NBCUniversal. Warner Bros carried NBA’s domestic game broadcasts since 1989.
The report says that as per the new arrangement, Warner Bros Discovery will retain rights to showcase NBA highlights and content through Bleacher Report and House of Highlights platform.
The new agreement will also allow the company to manage NBA’s digital properties, according to the report.
