Sony Pictures Networks India has challenged a TDSAT order that restrains it from proceeding with a disconnection notice sent to Tata Play. SPNI has moved the Bombay high court for the same.
The case will now be heard on June 16. Both TDSAT and Tata Play have been asked to file their responses.
This May-end, the Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) stayed Sony's demand for Rs 128.42 crore from Tata Play.
The dispute stems from a breakdown in commercial negotiations between Tata Play and Culver Max after their previous content distribution agreement expired.
