Industry stalwart Raj Nayak, who celebrates his birthday today (January 2), has been instrumental in transforming the media landscape with his innovative ideas, mentorship, and business acumen.

As the Founder & Managing Director of House of Cheer Networks, a HappTech company, Raj Nayak has spent the past five years creating a legacy of happiness and innovation, combining technology and human connections to uplift lives and businesses.

Raj Nayak also began his career in the TV industry today. With a career spanning over three and a half decades, he has left an indelible mark on the media industry. From his early days with TCS in Mumbai and print media roles at Pioneer and Sunday Mail, to holding leadership positions at Star TV, NDTV Media, and Viacom18, his journey has been nothing short of extraordinary.

At Viacom18, Raj Nayak served as Chief Operating Officer from 2011 to 2019, driving significant growth and transformation.

As an entrepreneur, Raj founded Aidem Ventures in 2010, one of India’s largest independent media sales and consulting firms. He has also been an advisor to Yapp Advertising, further cementing his reputation as a trusted strategist and innovator.

Mentor

Raj Nayak’s influence extends far beyond business. He has nurtured and mentored numerous C-suite executives who now lead top organizations across the media and entertainment sector. His mentees, including luminaries like Vikram Mehra, Avinash Kaul, and Vikas Khanchandani, who often credit Raj’s guidance for shaping their careers and instilling in them the values of resilience, creativity, and leadership.

Awards and Accolades

Raj Nayak’s contributions have earned him numerous accolades, including the Influencer of the Year Award by exchange4Media (2016), Media Person of the Year Award at the IAA Leadership Awards, and the Global Champion Award by the International Advertising Association in 2018. He was also inducted into the IAA Hall of Fame.
