Of all the gifts that life has to offer, a loving mother is the greatest of them all.
The bond between a mother and her children is undoubtedly the sweetest, nicest and the most beautiful feeling in the world. Mothers are a blessing from god and we sure wouldn’t have been what we are today without these special women.
Ahead of Mother’s Day on Sunday, exchange4media has been speaking to women achievers about motherhood and maternal bond.
Take a look at what these super moms have to share:
Priyanka Kaul, President, Marketing and Special Projects, TV18
Personal and professional worlds are two aspects of my life that give me joy and satisfaction. Depending on the situation, I need to prioritise one over the other. But a good relationship with my children has helped me successfully deal with the pressure of being a working mother.
Life is all about being happy and enjoying whatever you do. It is too short to have any regrets. I am a strong believer of team work, both at home and office. After all, it takes two sides to make a bridge.
Preeti Raghunandan, Anchor, News18 India
There is no other relationship as beautiful as the relationship between a mother and a child. I am a mother as well as a daughter and can relate to every feeling associated with motherhood.
I am a journalist and my job is very challenging. It is not easy to be a mother and a journalist at the same time. But the support of my family has made it easier for me. I am proud that I have been able to play both these roles honestly & efficiently. This gives me a feeling of completeness and the strength to fight the challenges in life and keep moving forward.
Kudos to all the mothers out there this Mother's Day!
Navjyot Kaur, Anchor and Special Correspondent, News18 India
As a journalist and anchor, my job is very demanding-- starting from a good knowledge on every topic to look perfect and presentable all the time. And simultaneously, being a mother, I have to be on my toes all the time. I am thankful to my mother for being there always for me and giving me the strength to perform well in every role.
Mayuri Saikia, Marketing Head, Roca Bathrooms Products Pvt Ltd
The balancing act of being a mother and a professional is the most challenging task that I always strive to achieve. In the quest to achieve perfection on both the fronts, the roles of my life partner, family and friends are crucial. They help me in my professional endeavours and in meeting my personal commitments. Growing together, learning from each other, dealing with challenging situations and enjoying success make my roller coaster ride a perfect one.
At this juncture, where I lead the marketing responsibilities of Roca Bathroom products in India, my journey becomes most gratifying when I see my family proud of my achievements.
