Birthday boy Shahid Kapoor has come a long way in his career. It was in 2003 when he had hit the box office with Ken Ghosh’s college romance Ishq Vishk. The actor also won an award for his role at the Filmfare.
Shahid Kapoor rose from being the chocolate hero to a more seasoned actor with roles like Udta Punjab, Padmaavat and Kabir Singh and even brands couldn't resist his charm.
Although Kapoor debuted on the big screen in 2003, his endorsement journey started a long time back in 1991 when he appeared in a Complan ad with actress Ayesha Takia. Since then, Kapoor has been associated with several brands including Aramusk Deodrants Soaps, Colgate, Dulux Paints, ELF Moto, Fanta, Levis Jeans, Pioneer Mixtra, Bru Lite and Vaseline Men.
While celebrity endorsements have always been at forefronted of product sales and services in India, in the past few years, celebrities including Bollywood stars have morphed from being just the face or voice of brands to owners and co-owners of retail brands.
The Padmavaat actor came up with his own athleisure brand called Skult which was launched in 2016 on abof.com (an online fashion shopping portal by Aditya Birla Group).
Today, as the actor turns a year older, his friends and fans have taken to social media to wish him a happy birthday.
