Reliance Retail's Manoj Jain dedicates CMO award to tech’s power of connecting people

At the Pitch CMO Summit 2026, co-presented by Snapchat and Samsung Ads and held in Mumbai on March 12, Manoj Jain, Senior Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer at Reliance Retail (B2C Electronics), was honoured with 'The CMO Digital Marketing Award'. The summit was themed 'The Human Advantage: Marketing in an AI-Native Era', and brought together some of India's most dynamic marketing leaders for a programme of keynotes, panel discussions, and fireside chats.
Accepting the award, Jain thanked Dr Annurag Batra and the editorial team before dedicating the recognition to the Reliance Retail team. He spoke about the broader purpose behind the brand's marketing philosophy, describing it as helping India "make friends with technology." Jain noted that while technology changes every single day, its power to connect people, empower them, and enable smarter living is what makes it central to the brand's mission. "It's a leveller," he said, underlining his belief that Reliance Retail's role is to make that transformative potential accessible to every consumer.
Jain is a highly experienced marketing professional with over 24 years of work experience, specialising in brand strategy, marketing communications, and consumer and trade promotions. In his current role, he oversees 360-degree marketing across Reliance Retail's digital stores and Jio and Jio Point Electronics and mobile stores spanning 7,000 towns across the country. Prior to his current responsibilities, he served as CMO and Vice President – Omni Channel Marketing at HyperCITY Retail, and has also held senior marketing roles at Reliance Retail, Future Group's Pantaloons Retail India Limited, and Star TV. He holds a degree in Bcom and an MBA from ST Xavier's College, Kolkata.
