Media Ace Awards to encourage creative and innovative media strategists

exchange4media’s Media ACE Awards initiative is an attempt to recognise Indian media agencies and their professionals for the work they have done, and for their contribution to the Indian industry at large.

Media agencies play a key role in the success of a campaign. While much of the credit is given to the ad agencies that ideate, the implementation of these ideas through the right media falls to media agencies.

“The Media Ace Awards should become a platform to recognise the media industry leaders and innovators,” mentions Group President - Food FMCG, Brands at Future Group, Devendra Chawla who is one of the jurors for the awards.

In its inaugural year, the Media ACE Awards will take the first step with media service brands. The award-winning work in this area will demonstrate leadership and direction that has helped in moulding the nation’s media landscape.

Media Ace Awards jury member, Sarthak Seth, Head - Brand and Marketing Communications, Panasonic India understands the need for regular felicitation of innovative work in the media industry in order to encourage those in the field. He explains, “The Media ACE Awards should endeavour to felicitate the hard work and efforts that the teams put in to deliver a successful campaign. I personally believe that such awards and platforms promote industry’s best practices to encourage people to build innovative campaigns, further encouraging the people to deliver their best.”

Fellow jurist, Sumeet Narang, Vice President - Marketing (Motorcycles) with Bajaj Auto, explains of his expectations, “Since focus of these awards is on the people as much as on campaigns and agencies, I hope it encourages individual excellence. Finally, in a marketing partnership with the client, it’s the people that make all the difference.”

Geetu Verma, Executive Director- Food & Refreshments, Hindustan Unilever Limited, is the Jury Chair for the Media Ace Awards this year and will be joined by ten jury members who are accomplished veterans from the marketing and media arena.

The jury meet will be held on June 19, in Mumbai followed by the Media Ace Awards 2015 on July 24.
