His early inspiration came from stories of individuals who made a significant impact on society through scientific innovation and medicine. That’s when he decided to pursue his academic journey at IIT specializing in B pharmaceutical sciences to solve real-world problems and health challenges for human life.

Sharing the next step, he took, Gupta mentions, “Driven by a desire to make a tangible impact, I transitioned into the field of pharmaceutical sciences, earning a postgraduate degree from IMI. It was during this period that I realized my true calling was not just in understanding pharmaceuticals but in using that knowledge to bridge the gap between pharmaceutical innovations and the broader public.”

His Entrepreneurship Journey- Fate or Plan?

While starting his career in the pharmaceutical industry felt like a natural extension of his desire to contribute to society, Aman admits that his initial focus was on understanding and contributing to the pharmaceutical field and entrepreneurship was nowhere in the picture. However, as his career progressed, his professional experiences and observations helped him to see the larger picture.

“The journey to entrepreneurship came from a deep-seated drive to create something impactful,” Gupta mentions. Furthermore, Aman observed that the pharmaceutical sector needed a more effective way to connect innovations with the public. This idea inspired him to establish SPAG/FINN. For him, building SPAG/FINN was more than just starting a business; it was a fulfillment of his deep-seated drive to make a meaningful impact on society. “It was about fulfilling a lifelong commitment to making a difference in the world,” he adds.

His Journey from Pharmaceutical Student to Leading Health Communications Strategist

Aman’s transition from pharmaceutical sciences to the communications industry corroborates the power of recognizing and seizing an opportunity to make a broader impact. “My passion for pharmaceuticals was rooted in a desire to make a tangible impact on health. I saw a unique opportunity to bridge the gap between pharmaceuticals and communications,” Aman shared, noting the shift in his professional journey.

Gupta shares that this observation helped him to explore the intersection between pharmaceutical science and strategic messaging, an area that was not being adequately addressed at the time in the industry. Furthermore, his scientific background provided him with a deep understanding of the complexities of the pharmaceutical industry, which he used to enhance how health information was conveyed to the public, policymakers, and stakeholders.
