Uthara Ganesh has been elevated to Head of Public Policy for APAC at Snap Inc. In her new role, she will lead the company’s public policy efforts across the Asia-Pacific region. Prior to this promotion, Uthara served as Head of Public Policy for India and South Asia.
She shared the news of her promotion through a LinkedIn post. “I have news. I’ve recently taken on an expanded role at Snap Inc. as Head of Public Policy for APAC”.
Uthara has been associated with Snap Inc. for over four years, steadily expanding the scope of her responsibilities.
Before joining the company, she spent more than two years with Amazon Web Services, gaining experience in technology policy and regulatory affairs. Her elevation reflects Snap’s focus on strengthening public policy leadership across APAC.
She is a seasoned professional with over 15 years of experience in the industry. Her areas of expertise include privacy and data protection, artificial intelligence governance, cloud computing, over-the-top (OTT) services, digital taxation, and online content regulation.
