Rahul Shukla has been appointed Group Head, Commercial and Bharat Banking at Axis Bank.
He will lead the bank’s commercial and Bharat banking businesses, with a focus on business growth, customer relationships and expanding its presence across these segments.
Shukla brings over three decades of experience across wholesale, corporate, investment, commercial and rural banking in India and international markets, having held senior leadership positions at HDFC Bank and Citi.
Shukla joined HDFC Bank in March 2018 as Group Head, Corporate Banking and Business Banking. He subsequently led Wholesale Banking from November 2020 to April 2021 before taking charge of Commercial and Rural Banking in May 2021.
