In light of Kedar Lele joining Castrol India, Michelle Jou, the global CEO of the automotive and industrial lubricant brand, welcomed the new India MD in a LinkedIn post.
She announced that Lele’s predecessor, Sandeep Sangwan, will transition to a global role as Chief Marketing Officer for Castrol, succeeding Nicola Buck, who will now assume a larger role in marketing within BP.
“I also want to thank Sandeep for his strong leadership and for strengthening Castrol India’s market position over the last few years. Sandeep will relocate to our global headquarters in the UK and will succeed Nicola Buck as she moves to a bigger marketing role in BP. A huge thank you to Nicola for her contributions to Castrol over the last two years!” she wrote.
In her post, Jou expressed the company’s significant ambitions for India under Lele’s leadership. “I had the chance to meet Kedar during a recent market visit and was impressed to see how quickly he has immersed himself into our business. Kedar joins us from the India arm of Unilever (HUL), where he was the Executive Director, Sales & Customer Development, South Asia.
“India is an important market for Castrol globally and we have big plans for India! We look forward to Kedar’s leadership to continue to deliver strong, profitable growth,” she added.
