Zoom launches new show ‘Popkorn’

Zoom is all set to experiment some more with entertainment news with a new show ‘Popkorn’. The show is going on-air today, positioned in the daily 8.00 pm slot. ‘Popkorn’ would be a daily round-up of the latest happenings from the television and cinema. Considering that television has become an integral part of entertainment today, Popkorn plans to take the viewer through the sets of some small screen shows as well as peep through the lives of television stars.

Shonali Nagrani will host the show, giving a sneak peak into the lives of Jassi, Kkusum, Dr. Simran and several other such characters. Additionally, the show will also bring news from the world of Tinsel Town – affairs, scandals, exclusive behind-the-scenes scoops, etc.

Apurva Purohit, COO, Times Television, says, “We are extremely happy to introduce Popkorn and are confident that the show will be a huge success. Entertainment news has always been immensely popular; we plan to give the viewers the best in that field. With an emphasis on best of television reports, the show is bound to strike a chord with audience across India.”

Shows like ‘Page 3’ and ‘Not Just Page 3’ have delivered better than most other offerings from the channel and it is based on this success that ‘Popkorn’ is being launched.
