Winners of NDTV India Cast Your Vote Contest announced

As is known NDTV India had run a contest inviting advertising agencies to participate in creating a 30 sec film, that would move the voters from the comforts of their homes to the polling booth.

As per NDTV India, it had received as many as 163 entries from creative agencies and production houses from various cities across India. Among them, O&M, JWT, McCann Erickson, Saatchi & Saatchi, Leo Burnett, Lintas, HTA, Rediffusion DY&R, Percept, R K Swamy, Mudra etc.

Three eminent media personalities Film Producer Mahesh Bhatt, Film Director Ken Ghosh and Leading Media Professional & Director of the Times of India Group Pradeep Guha were on the jury.

The selection process started with Pradeep Guha suggesting that they follow the judging process in the Cannes screening format, where the judges would decide yes / no, against each commercial to arrive at a shortlist. …After 5 such rounds the winning commercial was almost unanimous.

The Winning Film was an entry from Hakuhodo Percept advertising directed by Venkatesh Naidu and produced by Venkatesh Productions. The second finalist was Ricky Sandhu, Creative and Film Director from the production house, Shooting Star. The third finalist was Spark Productions & Muncher Wadia produced film for Network Advertising. The film is directed by Vijay Pereira. The fourth finalist was Vishal Dhawan directed film produced by Cinerio The Picture Company. The Creative Director is Ananda Mazoomdar.

These top four films will get a chance to be aired on NDTV India and NDTV 24x7. The winner, entry from Hakuhodo Percept advertising will win a cash award of Rs.1 lakh. Further the winning commercial would be entered at the top international advertising awards such as Cannes & One Show, all at the channels cost.
