Putting to rest industry speculations on Vijay Singh and his role at STAR, STAR India has announced that Singh joins the company as President, Strategy & Corporate Development, and will be reporting to Paul Aiello, acting Chief Executive Officer of the company.

In this newly created role, Singh will be responsible for developing business directions for STAR India, while taking an active role in the company’s businesses in India. Singh will join STAR India in April this year.

Commenting on Singh’s appointment, Aiello said, “Vijay is a veteran executive with a huge breadth of experience. We are fortunate to have attracted him to join us. His business acumen and unique insights about India and other developing markets will be invaluable as STAR India readies itself for its next phase of growth and expansion.”

Said Singh, “It is incredibly exciting to be a part of the leading television network in the country. STAR India has not only defined the ‘entertainment experiences’ of the nation, but has also been a trailblazer in the realm of cable and satellite entertainment.
