Umesh Upadhyay to move back to RIL

In an internal communication sourced by exchange4media, Rahul Joshi, CEO, News and Group Editor-in-Chief, Network 18, shared Umesh Upadhyay, President, News Network 18, will be moving back to RIL. His future role at RIL has not been specified.

Prior to taking up his role at Network 18, it may be recalled that Upadhyay was media Director at RIL.

“On behalf of the IBN team, I would like to thank him for his valuable contribution, please join me in wishing him luck and success in his future role” stated Joshi in the email.

He has previously worked at Janmat TV as Channel Head, Zee News as Executive Producer and Editor, Output, Doordarshan  and PTI. He has also served as Director at Disha Institute of Management of Technology, Raipur, prior to which he was a Director at Rockland Hospitals.
