Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala GECs rise in week 11

In week 11 (March 8 – 14, 2015), the regional markets of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Malayalam saw a rise in ratings of channels within their respective markets. 

According to data sourced from TAM subscribers CS4+ market, in the Bihar & Jharkhand market Big Magic Ganga declined to 1518 GVTs this week from 2261 GVTs in the previous week. Mahuaa Plus saw its ratings decline to 896 GVTs in week 11 from 1278 GVTs in week 11. Mahuaa too saw its ratings decline marginally to 723 GVTs this week from 768 GVTs last week. Anjan declined to 669 GVTs in week 11 from 904 GVTs in week 10. Dabangg UP UTKD Bihar on the other hand saw its ratings increase to 538 GVTs this week from 236 GVTs last week.

In the Bengali GEC market, Star Jalsha declined to 95,417 GVTs in week 11 from 99,543 GVTs in week 10. Zee Bangla increased to 80,562 GVTs this week from 76,098 GVTs in the previous week. ETV Bangla saw its ratings marginally decline to 25,370 GVTs in week 11 from 25,887 GVTs in week 10. Aakaash Aath saw its ratings rise this week to 15,031 GVTs from 14,696 GVTs last week. Rupashi Bangla’s ratings on the other hand declined to 1695 GVTs this week from 2211 GVTs in week 10.

In the Tamil Nadu market, Sun TV increased to 219,018 GVTs this week from 206,571 GVTs in week 10. Vijay too saw its ratings rise to 90,862 GVTs in week 11 from 84,469 GVTs in week 10. Zee Tamil’s ratings increased in week 11 to 25,186 GVTs from 24,385 GVTs in week 10. Raj TV’s ratings increased during this week to 21,750 GVTs from 20,371 GVTs in week 10. Kalaignar TV on the other hand declined this week to 19,968 GVTs from 20,022 GVTs in week 10. Jaya TV fell to 12,228 GVTs in week 11 from 13,001 GVTs in week 10. Mega TV increased to 5774 GVTs in week 11 from 5566 GVTs in week 10. Captain TV increased marginally to 5221 GVTs in week 11 from 4162 GVTs in week 10.

In the Maharashtra market, Zee Marathi saw its ratings rise to 159,077 GVTs this week from 147,190 GVTs in week 10. ETV Marathi now rebranded to Colors Marathi too saw small decline in ratings this week to 50,840 GVTs from 52,455 GVTs a week ago. Star Pravah’s ratings increased in week 11 to 50,465 GVTs from 48,574 GVTs in week 10. Mi Marathi increased to 9769 GVTs in week 11 from 11,194 GVTs in week 10.

Udaya in the Karnataka market increased during week 11 to 79,775 GVTs from 78,897 GVTs in week 10. ETV Kannada increased to 61,148 GVTs in week 11 from 56,769 GVTs in week 10. Suvarna on the other hand increased marginally to 45,876 GVTs this week from 45,833 GVTs last week. Zee Kannada increased similarly to 30,672 GVTs in week 11 from 30,289 GVTs in week 10. Kasturi saw its ratings decline to 6415 GVTs from 8106 GVTs last week.

Among the Andhra Pradesh market Gemini saw its ratings dip during the week to 101,469 GVTs from 107,834 GVTs last week. Maa decreased to 89,583 GVTs in week 11 from 91,233 GVTs in week 10. Zee Telugu increased to 87,584 GVTs from 83,735 GVTs last week. ETV increased to 81,959 GVTs in week 11 from 79,015 GVTs in week 10. Vissa decreased to 95 GVTs this week from 117 GVTs last week.

In the Kerala market, Asianet increased to 54,400 GVTs in week 11 from 54,166 GVTs in week 10. Surya increased to 15,860 GVTs this week from 14,428 GVTs last week. Mazhavil Manorama increased its ratings this week to 13,048 GVTs from 12,783 GVTs in week 10. Asianet Plus increased to 6119 GVTs in week 11 from 5848 GVTs in week 10. Kairali declined its ratings this week to 4633 GVTs from 4796 GVTs last week. Amrita decreased marginally to 2120 GVTs this week from 2248 GVTs during last week.
