Sangeet Bangla beefs up content line-up with new programmes

Sangeet Bangla, the 24-hour Bengali music channel from Sri Venkatesh Films (Kolkata) has introduced some new programmes to add some spice and humour to its content line-up. The new programmes are scheduled to go on air from May 11.

The new programmes include 'Baapre Ki Shooting', a spoof on the pandemonium that reigns before a shooting commences.

'Chaal Dhanno' will see three lady auto-rickshaw drivers talk about Tollywood and Bollywood songs.

'Talk Jhal Aunty' aims to introduce the spicy element with a popular male anchor in the avatar of a middle-aged saucy woman in her kitchen cooking hot and spicy delicacies and talking about Bollywood masala and gossip.

'Isshstyle' will take a close look at the hip and happening styles and fashions.

All these programmes will be essentially music-based with some element of fiction.

There will be two fillers – 'NewsFlush' and 'Bangali Babu, Hocche Kabu'. 'NewsFlush' is a spoof on news channels and their ridiculous investigations. It is a hilarious filler on the lighter side of news channels. 'Bangali Babu, Hocche Kabu' will showcase reactions of a typical middle-aged Bengali man who watches contemporary Hindi songs and reacts in his typical orthodox manner.

Keeping with its tagline 'Dinbhor Hullor', Sangeet Bangla aims to provide day long excitement for its dedicated audience.
