Salman Khan returns as host of Bigg Boss season 9

Salman Khan is set to return to Bigg Boss season 9. In a tweet, Raj Nayak – CEO, Colors confirmed that the popular star was set to host season 9 of the show. He also named Snapdeal and mobile brand Oppo as the presenting and powered by sponsor of the show, respectively. The two brands were sponsors of the show’s previous season as well.

The announcement was made about Salman Khan’s return to the show as there was speculation that season 8 was his last. The actor was unable to host the Bigg Boss season 8 extension called Halla Bol, due to his schedule. As a result, Farah Khan was brought in to host it.

Last season, it was estimated that the sponsorship deal with Snapdeal was worth Rs 35 crore. Bigg Boss season 9 will be launching in October.
