Sahara One targets female audience with two new women-centric serials

Sahara is trying to woo the female audience with two brand new serials – ‘Solhah Singaarr’ and ‘Kuch Apne Kuch Paraye’. The serials will go on air from October 30 and November 13, respectively. Both the serials are family based serials with the female characters playing important roles. The channel plans to have a full-fledged marketing campaign revolving around the shows soon.

Shantonu Aditya, CEO, Sahara One, said, “A large part of our audience consists of females. Therefore, it makes perfect sense in making female-oriented serials.” He further said that these two shows were part of the large number of shows planned by the channel in the coming weeks.

Elaborating on the marketing campaign of the serials, Rajeev Chakrabarti, Head-Marketing, said, “The on-air campaign for the serial has already begun on the channel since October 1. The outdoor campaign begins from October 19. We have adopted a full-fledged, high-intensity campaign for it, including print, outdoor and even the Internet.”

Both the shows have a blend of experienced as well fresh faces in them. Well-known TV stars include Sudha Chandran in ‘Solhah Singaarr’ and Vikram Gokhale in ‘Kuch Apne Kuch Paraye’.
