Sahara Manoranjan launches nationwide talent hunt

Come March and Sahara Manoranjan joins hands with Percept D’Mark to launch a nationwide talent hunt ‘Mr & Ms Bollywood’. The purpose is to discover 30 potential film stars. This will be followed by road shows hosted by film personalities.

Percept D’Mark will conduct and supervise the logistics of the event, which is being supported by Sahara Manoranjan. Abhijeet Sarkar, Head, Corporate Communications, Sahara India says, “The Sahara India Parivaar is known for its commitment to the entertainment sector. This sector is witnessing massive growth, and we believe this is only the beginning. Events like Mr & Ms Bollywood are an investment in the future.”

To guide the talent hunt, an advisory board comprising Karan Johar, Mahesh Bhatt, Raveena Tandon, Asha Parekh, Ashutosh Gowarikar, Smita Thackeray, Sarika, Ken Ghosh, Ashok Salian and Manish Malhotra has been constituted.

The process will be three-tiered, and there will be no entry fee. Ernst & Young will audit the selection and elimination process. “We roped in E&Y to ensure that correct systems are followed and that the results are fair,” says Alan Mans president films, Percept D’Mark. “From the lakhs of entries that we expect to receive, 30 talented individuals will be selected. All the winners will be signed for lead roles in films and TV. I don’t think it gets any bigger or better. Aisa chance aur kahan?” A media blitz, with advertisements, announcements and distribution of forms begins early March.
