SAB introduces comedy block for Fridays

SAB, the channel that positions itself as ‘Young at Heart’, has introduced a comedy block for Fridays. The block will begin to air from July 13 at 8 pm. The channel has announced its new show ‘The International Band’, which will have international shows dubbed in Hindi, at 9 pm.

Priya Mishra, Head of Programming, SAB, said, “SAB is a youth centric channel and has broken the clutter of the ‘saas bahu’ sagas which the youth of today doesn’t relate with. We offer a diverse variety of entertainment that we believe the youth of today will be interested in. Our Friday offering of comedies, thrillers and international shows dubbed in Hindi is just another step in fulfilling our promise of entertaining new India.”

As part of ‘The International Band’, the first show to be screened will be ‘Alias’. The other shows in the months to come are ‘Lost’, ‘Extreme Makeover’ and ‘Desperate Housewives’.

Under this new block, the channel returns to its other comedy series of ‘Yes Boss’ at 8 pm, and FIR at 8.30 pm.
