Raj TV launches reality show

Most youngsters aspire to become filmstars and are constantly on the lookout for a platform that will help them realise their dreams. The film industry is also always seeking new faces. Keeping this in mind, Raj TV, a Tamil entertainment channel, will be launching a reality show called, ‘Aircel Tamil Pesum Kadhanayagi’.

This show is a search for Tamil-speaking heroines from across the globe.

Mala Maniyan, COO, Raj TV said, “This is a one-of-a-kind show taking place in Tamil Nadu for the first time. The concept is unique. It will help directors of the Kollywood film industry by making their job easy.”

The show will commence on August 18 and will be televised in 21 weekly episodes

In an industry that is predominantly ruled stars children and beauty pageant winners, reality shows such as Aircel Tamil Pesum Kadhanayagi will offer non-filmi background girls a real chance at gaining entry into the film industry.

The show would travel seven cities – Madurai, Chennai, Coimbatore, Palakkadu, Bengaluru, Mumbai and Malaysia.
