Percept H stands best in NDTV ‘Cast Your Vote’ contest

NDTV launched its ‘Cast Your Vote’ contest as an attempt to create a 30-second film to motivate voters towards casting their votes. Through an official release, NDTV India announced that it had received around 163 entries for the contest from some of the finest creative agencies and production houses from various cities across India. The Winning Film was an entry from Percept H. The advertising copy was written by Shashank Karmakar, directed by Venkatesh Naidu and produced by Venkatesh Productions, the release informed.

The second finalist was Ricky Sandhu, Creative and Film Director, Shooting Star, while the third spot has gone to Spark Productions and Muncher Wadia-produced film for Network Advertising Pvt Ltd. The film was directed by Vijay Pereira with the copywriter being Shantesh Row. The fourth finalist was a film produced by Cinerio Picture Company. The Creative Director was Ananda Mazoomdar and the film was directed by Vishal Dhawan.

Among other major agencies that participated, there were, O&M, JWT, McCann Erickson, Saatchi & Saatchi, Leo Burnett, Lintas, HTA, Rediffusion DY&R, R K Swamy and Mudra. In some cases, there were more than one entry from an agency, with different regional offices participating. The seriousness of the participants could be gauged by the fact that each one of them had invested a large sum of money to produce a TV commercial. Most agencies that participated stated that they felt strongly on the subject.

The panel of judges that handpicked the winning entries included filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, film director Ken Ghosh and leading media professional and director of the Times Of India Group Pradeep Guha. The selection process started with Guha stating that they followed the judging process in the Cannes screening format, where the judges would decide yes or no, against each commercial to arrive at a shortlist.

These top four films will get a chance to be aired on NDTV India and NDTV 24x7. Percept H advertising is being presented with a cash award of Rs 1 lakh. Further, the winning commercial would be entered in the top international advertising awards such as Cannes and One Show, said the release from NDTV.
