Now its Shekhar Suman's turn to get political on Star News

STAR News has decided to dedicate 30 minutes a day to look at the lighter side of elections - and anchor of the show is Shekhar Suman. In this new show Poll Khol, Shekhar Suman will present political analysis in his own style. The show premieres on the April 1, 2004 at 10.30 PM and will continue daily at the same time.

A satirical look at the hits and misses of our political leaders, the show is a razor-sharp commentary on all the sides of the story that are not shown on regular television. The programme intends to showcase a range of innovative, incisive and original segments.

As per an official communiqué, Suman will bring the realistic flavour by following political rallies. Talking of the show, Ravina Raj Kohli, President, Star News states, "STAR News continues to innovate and create some of the best programming and content in Indian News Television today and Poll Khol is one of our key initiatives on that front. We are happy to welcome Shekhar Suman to the Star News family and look forward to some great television with him."

New Delhi based BAG Films will be producing Poll Khol. Anurradha Prasad, MD, BAG Films is pretty excited about the show. "We have great expectations from Poll Khol.
