NICK's The Jungle Book takes slot up by 70%

In week 16 (16-22 April, 2016) of BARC Ratings, the slot for Bangla News went up in both the third and fourth phase of voting. NICK’s telecast of ‘The Jungle Book’ resulted in the rise in ratings of the slot(7.30pm to 8.00pm). 

Match 14 of Vivo IPL 2016 played between Mumbai Indians vs Royal Challengers Bangalore also fetched pretty good impressions.

Detailed report as below –

The ratings of Bangla News on polling days i.e, Sunday and Thursday went up by 77 per cent and 70 per cent during third phase of voting and the fourth phase of voting respectively. The ratings went up from 1317 in week 15 to 20087 in week 16 on Sunday and 12058 to 20458 on Thursday.

Telecast of ‘The Jungle Book’ by NICK took Sunday (07:32 - 08:00) slot up by 70 per cent.  The ratings rose from 296 in week 15 to 502 in week 16.

Sony channels like Sony Max (SD), Sony Six (SD) and Sony ESPN (SD+ HD) saw a hike in the ratings almost all days of the Vivo IPL 2016 matches. But mainly, these channels saw increased impressions on Saturday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Match 14 of Vivo IPL 2016 played between Mumbai  Indians vs Royal Challengers Bangalore fetched pretty good impressions.

Among the Hindi GECs, Colors acquired the No.1 spot, followed by Star Plus and Zee TV at No.2 and No.3 respectively. The overall drop in the genre has been driven by Star Plus (they aired Prem Ratan Dhan Payo last week) and marginal drop across channels/days in both Prime and Non -Prime led by power cut affected states.

The telecast of a two hours special episode of ‘Naagin’ takes the slot up by 26 per cent. The ratings on Sunday of the (20:00 - 22:03) slot rose from 12,957, the average of the past 13 weeks to 16, 285 in week 16.

World Television Premiere ‘Hate Story 3’ took the Sunday  (19:55 - 22:11) slot of Star Gold  up by 16 per cent. The previous 13 weeks’ average ratings of the channel rose from 2,316 to 2,695 in week 16.
