NDTV Convergence takes over ad sales; Rajesh Kumar to head national sales

NDTV Convergence family now has a new member. With scaling up of business by new project launches and incubation, ad sales is getting integrated into the NDTV Convergence network. NDTV Convergence Ltd., a 100 per cent subsidiary of NDTV Networks Plc, is a web 2.0 company and develops exclusive content for cross media platforms such as the Internet, mobiles, ITV and IPTV.

“We have taken up ad sales from January 1, 2008 as it is part of our core operations. We would be aggressively targeting the Indian market along with maintaining our keen focus at international networks. Integrating ad sales teams under our leadership will allow us to better serve our advertisers’ marketing objectives by using various forms of advertising ranging from ad display to interactive video advertising. All marketing objectives, be it brand awareness or soliciting direct response, will now get a cutting edge in terms of customised solutions,” said Sanjay Trehan, CEO, NDTV Convergence.

Meanwhile, Rajesh Kumar has been elevated as National Head of Sales. He will be responsible for driving sales and establishing long-term revenue streams in the rapidly growing Indian and international market. Kumar will be reporting to Salil Kumar, COO- Business, NDTV Convergence.

“We are pleased to elevate Rajesh Kumar as the head of our national sales team for India and international markets. Rajesh has been managing syndication and digital sales business for a long time and at NDTV Convergence, he has demonstrated outstanding leadership qualities. We look forward to relying on his extensive skill set,” Salil Kumar said.
