Naagin to return in October with Season 2

Colors’ most popular series Naagin, which ruled the ratings chart ever since its launch, went off air last Sunday (June 5). But the audience disappointment was put to rest after the channel revealed that the show will be back with its second season in October. Raj Nayak, CEO of Colors channel, who took to his Twitter handle to make the announcement, also shared the teaser of the Season 2, which features lead actress Mouni Roy in it as well.

Naagin was aired every Saturday and Sunday at 8 pm on Colors.The format of the show, along with the storyline, revolved around a female snake that can change her form according to her will ('Ichchhadhari naagin'), and is the reason for the immense popularity of the serial.

According to week 21 of the BARC data, Naagin continued to top the ratings chart with 8,919 impressions.

Naagin is now replaced by a new show Kavach…Kaali Shaktiyon Ki, produced by Ekta Kapoor under the Balaji Telefilms banner. Promos of the serial are already out and the show is slated to go on air starting June 11. A 32-episodic series based on a love-cum-horror theme, Kavach revolves around a female protagonist, who defies all odds to save her husband’s life.
