Mercedes for winner of Amrita TV’s new reality show; auditions to be held in US, UK, UAE

After the success of ‘Super Star’ and ‘Super Star Junior’, Amrita TV is gearing up for the next edition of a music talent hunt show. Christened ‘Super Star Global’, this edition of talent hunt would have a worldwide canvas with auditions in California, London, Dubai and Bangalore, besides different cities in Kerala. This is a result of the feedback from its audiences watching the channel in countries across the globe, like in the US, the UK, Europe and the Middle East, claimed Amrita TV sources.

In tune with the character of the show, the winner of this show would drive home a coveted Mercedes Benz. This is perhaps the first time that such a prize is being offered for a music reality show on Indian television. Confident Group, a Bangalore-based construction company, will gift the Mercedes Benz.

‘Super Star Global’ will be mounted on spectacular new sets and will be aired from July 2007. The show will be branded by Lux, Hindustan Lever.

The audition in California is scheduled to be on July 6, while the audition in London will take place on July 8. Dubai auditions will take place on June 22. From thousands of aspirants, a few hundred will be shortlisted for the final auditions in Trivandrum. The final band of contestants will then be subsequently selected, who will have the opportunity to participate in ‘Super Star Global’.
