iTV Network elevates Anil Mittal to Chief Technical Officer

iTV Network has elevated Anil Mittal to Chief Technical Officer. Prior to this appointment, he was the Vice President, Technical Operations of the iTV Network.

As a part of his mandate, he is responsible for the top-to-bottom technology transaction, from planning, designing and acquisition to implementation, across the organisation.

As the VP (Technical Operations), he led the shifting and re-launching of India News channel from Okhla to Noida, in a very short span of time. He was also responsible for planning and execution of cost effective solutions regarding IT, broadcast and baseband requirements. He also played a role in designing of the innovative solutions and new technology upgradation, apart from handling day ¬to-day tech operations and active operations in implementation of new technology.

Mittal comes with nearly two decades of experience in the Broadcast and IT sector of the media industry. He was also associated with Beehive Systems and held the position of Head ¬ Customer Support at WASP ¬ 3D technology, where he played a role in initiating and setting up the WASP 3D for new and upcoming news channels around the world.

Commenting on the elevation, Kartikeya Sharma, Managing Director, iTV Network said, “Anil has spent nearly 20 years in industry which will help us further formulate and drive our technological operations. I am happy that he can now bring his vast experience to lead our technology function where his vision will be instrumental in the growth of the network.”

Delighted at the appointment, Anil Mittal, Chief Technical Officer, iTV Network commented, “I am extremely pleased to be stepping into this position. iTV Network is a very young and dynamic organisation and I look forward to lead its continuous success.”

Mittal holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science from Marathawada University, Aurangabad, India. He also has a Diploma in Computer Hardware and has a passion for Digital Broadcast technology. He joined the iTV Network in 2008 and has since held various positions in the organisation including Vice President (Technical Operations) at NewsX and later at India News.
