Hero Honda, Jaypee Cement roped in as official sponsors for Indo-Lanka series

Close on the heels of acquiring the global commercial rights of the India-Sri Lanka cricket series 2009, Nimbus Sport has closed its sponsorship and perimeter deals. Hero Honda and Jaypee Cement have been signed on as official sponsors for the series for which IDBI Fortis has already been signed on as title sponsor. The series has been christened the ‘IDBI Fortis Wealthsurance Cup’.

Additionally, all perimeter signage sales have been concluded with a host of Indian and Sri Lankan brands.

Yannick Colaco, Executive Vice President, Nimbus Sport, said, “The addition of Hero Honda and Jaypee Cement as official sponsors adds to the prestige of the IDBI Fortis Wealthsurance Cup and is an eloquent testimonial of the pan-Indian platform that cricket provides, cutting across all demographics.”

An array of broadcasters across the world has concluded TV deals with Nimbus Sport, thereby ensuring a global broadcast of the IDBI Fortis Wealthsurance Cup. The series will be telecast in India (Neo Cricket), Sri Lanka (Rupavahini and Neo Cricket), Malaysia (Astro), Fiji (Fiji TV), Singapore (Neo Cricket), Pakistan (Geo Super), Hong Kong (Neo Cricket), Australia (Setanta Sport), Middle East (Neo Cricket), Canada (ATN), UK (Zee TV), and South Africa (Supersport), while live Internet coverage has been licensed to Cricket Nirvana and Willow TV.
